    • Get ready for Halloween...

Here at Odabash HQ, we’ve had a dilemna this year as to what to dress up as for Halloween. We’ve all done the cat, the witch, the devil and the vampire with a bit of blood and make shift cape. This year we wanted to step it up a gear having seen all of the Hollywood A-listers really going to town with their costumes we decided to compile some inspirational images to help you too stand out at your Halloween soiree!

Skull Make-up with black evening wear is an effective but simple option, draw inspiration from Pauline Darley’s “She waited too long” editorial for Edit magazine.

Take inspiration from instagram, we loved some of the inventive ideas we saw by searching the #halloween. Again skulls were really big and people were really inventive with how they created them! The Jester was a really cool one, we hadn’t seen anything like that before. The painted mask was also one we loved!
Take inspiration from Mert&Marcus Vogue Paris 90ans edition editorial with ornate masks and sexy black catsuits.
Take inspiration from Kate’s Mert&Marcus editorial and channel your inner high fashion corpse bride.

    • The Super-Models of Sports Illustrated

At Odabash we are constantly looking back through the old pages of magazines like Vogue and Elle to gather inspiration that we can fine tune into more current designs for our avid swimwear fans! Recently, while hunting for inspiration for a top secret collaboration, we've been drawn to the pages of the Sports Illustrated 80's and 90's issues. Its amazing how things change, from the swimwear, to the ideals of beauty that these magazines exude. It's such a shame to us how the ideal that fashion adopts now is one of 'Size 0' and super skinny models. Melissa has always been a huge fan of working out and eating well and healthy, and what better role models to have than the ones below, from Cindy Crawford, to Elle MacPherson, embrace your curves and tone those abs! While you're at it hike up those legs girls and channel some serious 80's and 90's chic!

    • We're Loving...

With New York Fashion Week well underway, we can't help but notice here at Odabash HQ a few trends starting to emerge. Here are some of our favourite looks of the new season so far and some of our favourite trends we can't wait to wear next Spring.

      Sports Luxe

Making an appearance in our wardrobes yet again! Think layering with mesh, tennis skirts with oversized t-shirts, trainers with maxis. Anything goes! Take inspiration from Alexander Wang, DKNY and Rag&Bone.

      New Neutrals

We plan to start investing in draped whites and nudes, hunting down statement pieces in black and metallics and find great transitional pieces in burgundy as seen at Victoria Beckham. We're getting inspiration from Altuzarra thigh high splits, and we can't wait to find ourselves great structures skater skirts. We love the chic draping at Cushnie et Ochs and the subtle cut out details, very modern Grecian.

      Sheer Details

We love the sheer details for next spring, from the delicate sheer whites at Jason Wu, to the sporty sheer panels and mesh at Rebecca Taylor and the sheer skirts at Band of Outsiders. We can't wait to start layering up!

      Sophisticated Colour

We love a monochrome palette with bright pops of colour! We need Prabal Gurung’s painted rain coats! Especially with this rain that’s just started here in London! The bright orange at Opening Ceremony will definitely brighten up a dull day! It’s so good to see Naomi walking the catwalks again at Diana von Furstenberg too!

We can't wait for the rest of the Fashion Weeks! Especially London, we're most excited to see Julien's collection! Watch out for the rest of our fashion week updates.
