Melissa Odabash is awarded an MBE

It is with great pleasure that we write this as we can now officially announce that on the advice of the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, Her Majesty The Queen has appointed our founder, Melissa Odabash as an honorary Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE). The honour has been awarded to Melissa Odabash by her Majesty in recognition of her services to international swimwear fashion.
This announcement comes after many years of dedication to her craft, pioneering the industry into what it is today. When the brand was first established the swimwear landscape was a far cry from what it has become today.
As a fashion company solely owned and run by a woman, Melissa Odabash has helped forge a path for other aspiring designers to follow in her footsteps.
Entering the swimwear industry as a model Melissa Odabash launched her eponymous label in 1999. She is credited with ‘introducing high fashion into resortwear’ with her swimwear being quickly described by Vogue as ‘The Ferraris of the bikini world’.
Today the brand is sold in over 60 countries globally and distributed in over 500 outlets including boutiques, resorts and luxury online retailers not including her two London based boutiques and global ecommerce business.
