Yes. Melissa Odabash swimwear is designed to be worn in both the pool and the sea, with premium swim fabrics created for days spent in sun, salt water and swimming. To preserve the colour, shape and finish of your swimwear, rinse it in cold water after each wear to remove salt, chlorine, sunscreen and oils.
We recommend limiting prolonged exposure to heavily chlorinated water and hot tubs, as chlorine can affect the fabric and colour over time. After swimming, avoid leaving your swimwear damp in a bag or wrapped in a towel; hand wash with a mild detergent and lay flat to dry in the shade.
With the right care, your swimwear will retain its fit and finish over time. Read our full Swimwear Care Guide for more advice on looking after your Melissa Odabash pieces.
Melissa Odabash swimwear is crafted from premium Italian stretch fabrics, selected for their soft feel, multi-way stretch and ability to hold their shape. Most styles use a nylon or polyamide and elastane blend, chosen for lightweight durability, resilient stretch and shape recovery while maintaining a close, comfortable fit.
Our swimwear is double lined for a smooth, secure finish against the body. Multi-way stretch allows the fabric to move comfortably and recover its shape, while selected lightweight and microfibre fabrics are also breathable and fast drying.
Fabric composition and individual performance details are listed on each product page. Explore our Swimwear, Bikinis and Swimsuits to discover the collection.
Yes. Melissa Odabash swimwear is cut with a refined Italian fit and tends to sit closer to the body than standard UK sizing. We generally recommend sizing up from your usual size, particularly if you are between sizes.
Fit can vary by silhouette, with tie fastenings, adjustable straps and removable pads offering more flexibility, while underwired and more structured styles will feel firmer through the body and bust.

To keep your Melissa Odabash swimwear looking its best, rinse it after every wear to remove salt, chlorine, sun cream and oils. Hand wash in cold water with a very mild detergent, then gently reshape while wet.
Lay your swimwear flat to dry away from strong sunlight and avoid wringing, tumble drying or ironing, as heat and twisting can affect the fabric, elasticity and fit over time. Ribbed and textured swim fabrics should also be kept away from rough surfaces to help prevent snagging.
With the right care, your swimwear will retain its shape and finish for seasons to come. For full guidance, visit our Care Instructions.
