Amid the rush and flurry of an energetic Miami Swim Week, the Melissa Odabash Runway Show brought guests somewhere far simpler: the Côte d’Azur. A momentary escape into a world that felt unmistakably Odabash, blending retro-chic with effortless European charm. Showcasing her 2027 collection, Melissa once again proved that glamour never goes out of style.

From the moment the music started, guests were transported. The intriguing trill of soulful, modern jazz set the tone as a procession of rich bronze made its way down the runway. Playful knit co-ords, streamlined bikinis paired with slitted skirts, studded swimwear, and elegant knit maxis established the collection's luxe yet relaxed mood. A nostalgic chain motif appeared in the form of a halterneck swimsuit and flowing shirt dress, reminiscent of the earthy elegance of a past era, accompanied by signature gold hardware and raffia accessories.

After an opening of warm neutrals and delicate whites came a transition into soothing shades of blue. A crystal-studded navy co-ord led the way, followed by expertly cut resortwear pieces in varying tones of the hue. What is often considered a safe neutral was reinvented, giving navy a perspective that felt both sophisticated and current.

Minimal yet striking white looks followed, a category Melissa has long mastered. Grecian influences met timeless simplicity in a pared-back display of femininity. Delicate florals and powdery blues then softened the mood, from graceful bikinis paired with fluttering skirts fit for either Palm Beach or Cannes, to billowing dresses that balanced graceful movement with subtle masculine tailoring.

A vibrant burst of cobalt renewed the energy of the show with barely-there yet refined bikinis, while a plunging maxi dress delivered the sensual, 70s glamour Melissa does so well. The collection continued with a look made for the South of France: a white knit top draped over coordinating flared trousers.

A series of pink looks followed, introduced by the shimmering, appropriately named 'Miami' bikini before transitioning to a whimsical mini dress adorned with delicate lace detailing. Catching the light from every angle, a dazzling silver swimsuit brought in the collection's final act: a celebration of white.

Closing in true Odabash fashion, the finale featured a lace maxi dress paired simply with white sandals, a fluted-sleeve kimono layered over a streamlined bikini, and a brilliant sequined gown perfectly suited for Riviera soirées. Melissa saved one final statement piece for the finale: a couture crystal cut-out swimsuit that immediately captivated the room.

As all of the models made their way for the final walk, the true strength of the collection became clear. Each electric hue, soft pastel, and neutral tone worked together seamlessly, creating a cohesive vision of the Côte d’Azur without ever feeling repetitive. Joined by her beautiful cast of models, Melissa's appearance brought the show to a close on the perfect note, kicking off another exciting season for the brand.
