October is upon us which means the beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign by major international charities to increase awareness about the impact of breast cancer. Various events and campaigns are run throughout the month focusing on raising funds for research into its cause, prevention, treatment, and offering practical support to women through their breast cancer journey.
Our continued partnership with Future Dreams Charity and Amoena Clothing has been an immense blessing to us in our mission to support and raise breast cancer awareness. This partnership has evolved into Melissa designing a range of swimwear for women who have had breast cancer surgery. The collection is a celebration of the women who are so beautifully brave facing breast cancer and designed to bring an effortless elegance with comfort and support to post-surgery swimwear. All swimsuits are made with Amoena’s signature super soft cups that include invisible pockets on both sides to hold a swim form, breast form or shaper if you need it.
Discover our exclusive Mastectomy Line at amoena.com. 100% of the proceeds go to the Future Dreams Charity who have recently opened up a post-surgery centre – a place for anyone wanting help and advice in a non-medical environment.
We are also incredibly grateful to have Jacquie Beltrao and Vera Ora as the face of our previous collections who have shared their own battle with breast cancer. It's been a great honour to work alongside an amazing group of women who are constantly working hard to raise funds to support vital research and promote breast cancer awareness.
