We're feeling a bit Bittersweet this morning.
Bitter because other than a few more brands that are showing today, New York Fashion Week has officially wrapped.
The Kardashians will soon be catching their flights to LA, Anna Dello Russo will be heading back to Milan, statuesque model sightings on the streets of NYC will be less frequent, and the hottest after-parties that have kept the city exceptionally buzzing all week will come to a halt.
Don't feel bad just yet, some of us locals are feeling pretty sweet. Sweet because we are less stressed-out about what to wear. Looking good during fashion week is crucial as you never know where you will end up after work! Not to mention we have more yellow cabs for the hailing now that NYFW is over. What a relief!
After carefully scanning the runways of Lincoln Center, we've selected a few stand-out trends that we think are worth writing home about.
NYFW always pushes the envelope, and we are delighted to share our recap with you!

'Bright Lights, Big City'-- a saying that has held true for years in NYC. When you live in an environment full of sensory overload, you find a way to stand out.
Despite the fact that we are commonly known for the 'all black everything' look, city-dwellers aren't afraid to get loud with our attire from time to time.
What's a better way to get loud than wear some cumulus clouds on your gown, like Mara Hoffman did this season?
Or perhaps some digital surfers accented on your otherwise normal white dress, like Victoria Beckham?
Well, as of this week its confirmed: You can wear Pajamas in Public!
The most cutting-edge designers with HUGE cult followings such as Givenchy, Alexander Wang, Public School, and Thakoon have apparently devised a secret Pajama Party.
Well, as Kanye West once said: 'Sorry I'm in pajamas but I just got off the PJ'-- We're guessing this Pajama Party is on a Private Jet, and Kanye will most certainly be on board.
'of or relating to the work done or those who work in an office or other professional environment.'
Ladies, what's a better way to show off that you're the boss then to rock a bold white collar? And from what we saw on the runways this year, they're not just a bunch of office button-ups. Brands such as Concept Korea, Lie Sang Bong, and Cushnie et Ochs have taken this classic professional look, and put a twist on the silhouettes.
We're seeing plunging necklines and extended lengths this year (lots of duster coats), and we are absolutely loving it!
