Global Gift Foundation celebrated their 9th year as a philanthropic non-profit organisation in an event held in Rosewood, London. The event was supported by The Fragrance Shop UK, Rosewood London, Gaura Japan, Pibble and Ardell Beauty. The swanky and luxurious Rosewood Hotel opened their doors to an evening of friendship and solidarity and celebration of amazing work done by the organisation alongside outstanding guests.
Melissa was among the guests at the gala with the presence of Maria Bravo, creator and president of the Global Gift Foundation, Victoria Beckham, Alesha Dixon, Mel C, Julien Macdonald, Holy Branson and HRH Princess Beatrice of York among others. Global Gift Foundation focuses on four distinct causes; Children, Health, Women and Social Help. They run numerous projects seeking to bring a positive change in the lives of children and women by providing food, shelter, education, medical care and other necessities. Special guest for the night was actress and activist Eva Longoria Baston, ambassador of the Global Gift Foundation. Representing her organisation, Eva Longoria Foundation, she made her first public appearance at the event since the birth of her son. It was a special night for her to be reunited with friends in support of a great cause. As one of the organisations benefitting from the event, Eva Longoria Foundation aims to empower Latinas and build a better future for themselves and their families through education and entrepreneurship.
Global Gift Awards were also given to acknowledge the humanitarian work done by people in various field. Beauty therapist Nilam Holmes won the Empowerment of Women Award and Holly Branson, Richard Branson’s eldest daughter, received the Global Gift Philanthropist Award. The fund raised from the gala will go to three organisations: Eva Longoria Foundation, Rays of Sunshine and Global Gift Foundation.
