You’ve got to try: Mocktail Recipes for Dry January
Do you feel like you over-indulged in alcohol this past holiday season? Some of you reading might already be well underway in your effort to forgo alcohol or for some it might have sparked an incentive to stop drinking. To help you through the last week of Dry January, we have put together some refreshing mocktail recipes that taste amazing without leaving you hungover and miserable the next day. These mockatils are so good that you might just stick with them even after Dry January.
Seedlip Spice & Tonic
Ingredients: Seedlip Spice 50ml, Indian Tonic 125ml
Method: Mix and pour Seedlip Spice and Indian tonic into glass over ice.Mocktail Mule
Ingredients: Fresh lime juice, ginger beer, mint leaves, ice. Garnish: Lime wedge
Method: Add the lime juice into a copper mug and muddle a couple mint leaves in the bottom. Add crushed ice and pour in ginger beer. Stir thoroughly. Garnish with a lime wedge.Strawberry Mojito Mocktail
Ingredients: Fresh strawberries, mint leaves, lime, honey, soda water, ice.
Method: Muddle the mint leaves and lime with a cocktail muddler. Pour the mixture into a glass of crushed ice. Add honey and strawberry puree. Top up with soda water and stir thoroughly. Garnish and enjoy.Cucumber Mint Cooler
Ingredients: 1 Cucumber, 50ml lime juice, mint leaves, soda water, ice. Garnish: Lime wedges, cucumber slices
Method: Peel the cucumber and cut into small pieces. Muddle the cucumber with mint leaves and lime juice. Strain it into a glass filled with ice. Finish by adding soda water and garnish with lime wedges or cucumber slices.Grapefruit Lime Spritzer
Ingredients: 1 cup grapefruit juice, 50ml lime juice, ½ cup soda water, dash of sugar for the rim, ice.
Method: Combine all the ingredients in a glass with ice and enjoy!
