SS15 Fashion Weeks: Hair

This year's runways have had us reminiscing on some of our most favoured hair styles, reviving past trends of deep side and centre-partings modernised with urban and boho looks.

centre
Whether worn in loose waves or poker straight, middle partings took centre stage this year. Designers such as Peter Pilotto, Chloe, Dolce and Gabbana chose this symmetrically perfect trend to define their looks; and we agree, it is effortlessly chic.

The SS15 collections saw super slick hair styles from a number of designers this year; the clean look enhanced strong features and emphasised a structured face. Calvin Klein kept things minimalistic with an asian inspired knot-bun, whilst Oscar De La Renta kept his look sleek and sophisticated, keeping in tone with his elegant designs.

braid
This year saw a new take on the traditional braid, with such a diverse range of styles that you can be sure to find one that will suit you! Marco De Vincenzo added a playful twist to the classic fishtail plait with a brightly woven rainbow of colours; perfect for that screaming nineties girl we all have inside us!
Georgio Armani emphasised his highly textured collection further with an urban inspired braided up do; whilst Michael Kors opted for a more relaxed do - loose windswept plaits styled with a good dose of dry shampoo; we can't think of anything more beach appropriate!

side
Aligning with the highest point of the brow, designers including Jil Sander; Ralph Lauren and Topshop Unique have used deep side partings to open up the face; we love this style to give a nod to some fifties Hollywood Glamour - perfect for the long summer nights partying in St Tropez!
