We are spoilt for choice with yet another season of fabulous make up trends, courtesy of designers Peter Som, Anthony Vaccarello, and Dolce & Gabbana. Let your make-up do the talking with bold shades and contrast with minimalist subtle nudes…
Graphic: SS15 bring's one boldest and most innovative make-up trends we have seen on the catwalk over the past few years. For Honor’s spring 2015 collection, makeup artist Polly Osmond opted for bold and blue with a thick winged effect.
Maintaining Cushniee et Ochs egyptian theme, Yadim Carranza paints heavy winged cat eyes, whilst the backstage of Peter Som went crazywith neon eyeliner. You are sure to make a statement with this bold trend!
Burgundy: In contrast to this oh so common autumnal lip trend, SS15 will see strong, bold and seductive lips in an array of burgundy shades. Dolce and Gabbana recreated this dramatic trend with their ongoing Italian Heritage theme, a sure winner for SS15.
All that Glitters: We cannot wait to whack out the pigment pots with the sensational sparkles that appeared on the SS15 runway. Using 3D glitter on the brow bone and thick black liner, House of Holland creates a 60s inspired look, perfect for those nights out on the town. Meanwhile, Anthony Vaccarello model's rocked the ‘morning-after’ look with a dusting of sparkling pigments below the lower lashes, creating an ultimately subtle yet striking effect. Anna Sui set the metallic eye trend for SS15 using gold foil on the inner and outer corners of the lid for an enlarging effect. Anything that lends itself to 'Twiggy' eyes is a must-do for us!
Au Natural: This year the catwalk took the statement 'less is more' went to a whole new level with “make-up free” models. Perfect for the beach, for a no-fuss boho beauty look, Marc Jacobs sent his models out wearing no make-up at all, whilst Tory Burch and Prabal Gurung decided to fake it, using nudes, subtle pinks and minimal product. Although we love this low maintenance look, it's important to keep your complexion bright and alive!
Add dimension with sculpting powder to contour your face, and opt for cream highlighters that will add a subtle, natural-looking glow.
