We here at Melissa Odabash HQ love a good breakfast smoothie - provided you make your own & don't buy those sugar-packed store bottles, they're a great way to start the day - and super tasty too.

This morning's was vanilla & honey oatmeal, which was delicious & left us ready for an extra-productive Monday. Check out our recipe...

You will need:

A handful of old-fashioned rolled oats
1/2 cup plain low-fat yogurt
1 banana, cut into thirds
1/2 cup fat-free milk
2 teaspoons of honey
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions

In a blender, combine oats, yogurt, banana, fat-free milk, honey, and cinnamon, whizz it until it creates a puree & looks smooth. Serve immediately...because no one likes a slightly warm smoothie!
