My visit started with ultimate luxury as I unpacked for my weekend break at Hotel Costes, which is my favourite place to stay in Paris.
"The scenic courtyard was a great place for people watching, and considering Hotel Costes is a big hit for the Parisian social scene, I was able to take great inspiration from their chic style and fashion sense."
One of my favourite parts about Hotel Costes was the tranquil Spa that I discovered, hidden beneath the lively atmosphere of the terrace restaurant and bar.
Whenever I travel abroad, I always try and find something to bring back and incorporate into my collection; so I spent an afternoon exploring the beautiful markets of Paris where I found some amazing 1970’s antique furniture and vintage dresses that I will use as inspiration for my designs.
This iconic luxury department store is a fashion landmark for high-end shopping in Paris.
After accepting my award at Mode City’s fashion show, I celebrated with a champagne afternoon tea at the Four Seasons George V hotel; this was just one of the amazing restaurants I dined in, as well as Asian restaurant ‘Kong’ by interior designer Phillipe Starck; ‘Ralph’s’ inside the Ralph Lauren store on Boulevard Saint Germain and L’Avenue on L’avenue Montaigne; where I stopped for lunch and ended up ordering French fries which I definitely recommend here!
I also attended a ‘White Party’ in celebration of the end of Mode City’s swim and lingerie trade show which was held at Musee des Arts Forains; A museum full of antique fairground rides - a must-visit if your ever in Paris!
It was an honour to accept my award and know that the hard work that goes into my designs has been recognised by my peers and the industry, it is definitely one of the proudest moments of my career and my weekend in Paris was a great way to celebrate that.
