Monday Motivation - Sit Ups in the Sky

This week's Monday Motivation reviews the unique 'Sit Ups in the Sky' event organised by Secret Urban Escape in association with You're Fit Fitness and Feed Me Primal that was held at a rooftop location in North London on Friday evening.

Last Friday some of the Melissa Odabash team were lucky enough to be invited along to the exclusive 'Sit Ups in the Sky' event which saw fitness, food and stunning views over London all combine together to an incredible start to the weekend.

Held at a stunning secret rooftop location in West London which was only revealed a day before the event this challenging physical workout put ALL of the attendees through their paces - with the reward of some mouth-watering food at the end.

Rooftop

The evening began with a rigorous boot-camp style workout co-ordinated by the You're Fit Fitness duo of celebrity Personal Trainer Bradley Simmonds and Professional Footballer Joey Jones.
With 18 stations positioned across the length of the rooftop Bradley and Joey designed a full body workout which tested even the most gym-devout attendees to their limits.
Their concept is all about making fitness fun and so activities included battle ropes, jump boxes, elasticated running ropes and more. The HITT approach of working on each station for a minute at a time also means the workout stays fun and engaging whilst different muscle groups can get a well deserved break thanks to the variety of activities, as well as rounding the session up with a grueling core session - FYI, we are still aching today!

Workout

After the workout a scrumptious array of food was also on offer from the niche Feed Me Primal - London’s only Paleo street food stall.
The delicious and nutritious options on offer included free-range pulled pepper chicken or grass fed rump steak toastada which was accompanied with caulirice, yummy seasonal salad and the signature tomato sauce - along with some sour cream and cheese which was well-deserved after the workout and just what we needed to give us the energy to get home!

Feed

Fortunately the British weather was kind to us and this fun-filled fitness evening organised by Secret Urban Escape was all given a breath-taking back-drop over the city of London and left everyone exhausted and yet revitalised for the weekend ahead.
After going along once, we feel we have already been converted to Secret Urban Escape regulars thanks to the interesting!

Take a look at Secret Urban Escape's website to see what other fitness events with a twist are on offer soon, we can't recommend them enough!
