With New York Fashion Week well underway, we can't help but notice here at Odabash HQ a few trends starting to emerge. Here are some of our favourite looks of the new season so far and some of our favourite trends we can't wait to wear next Spring.
Making an appearance in our wardrobes yet again! Think layering with mesh, tennis skirts with oversized t-shirts, trainers with maxis. Anything goes! Take inspiration from Alexander Wang, DKNY and Rag&Bone.
We plan to start investing in draped whites and nudes, hunting down statement pieces in black and metallics and find great transitional pieces in burgundy as seen at Victoria Beckham. We're getting inspiration from Altuzarra thigh high splits, and we can't wait to find ourselves great structures skater skirts. We love the chic draping at Cushnie et Ochs and the subtle cut out details, very modern Grecian.
We love the sheer details for next spring, from the delicate sheer whites at Jason Wu, to the sporty sheer panels and mesh at Rebecca Taylor and the sheer skirts at Band of Outsiders. We can't wait to start layering up!
We love a monochrome palette with bright pops of colour! We need Prabal Gurung’s painted rain coats! Especially with this rain that’s just started here in London! The bright orange at Opening Ceremony will definitely brighten up a dull day! It’s so good to see Naomi walking the catwalks again at Diana von Furstenberg too!
We can't wait for the rest of the Fashion Weeks! Especially London, we're most excited to see Julien's collection! Watch out for the rest of our fashion week updates.

Last night saw the launch of the much anticipated Chanel 'Little Black Jacket' exhibition at The Saatchi Gallery, & of course, Melissa was invited! Charting the progress of the quintessential & original trophy jacket from it's creation in the 1950's, Karl Lagerfeld dug deep into his little black book of contacts (we're guessing it isn't that little!) & rounded up a plethora of his A-lister friends & photographed them wearing the Chanel bouclé jacket their way.
From Kanye West to Alexa Chung, Georgia Jagger to Charlotte Gainsbourg, Sarah-Jessica Parker to the high-priestess of fashion herself, Anna Wintour, Karl has documented them, not only creating the iconic pieces for the last thirty years as creative director of Chanel, but also taking the actual pictures themselves - is there no end to this man's talents?
See below for a collection of our favourite images & make sure you head to The Saatchi & check it out - this is one exhibition not to be missed!
