Q: What inspires your interior design decisions?

A: My decisions are usually inspired by the architecture of a place and the location. What surrounds the home or project gives so much to the final design inspiration, and of course the decorative desires of the client will bring the final piece to the equation

Q: Which project in your portfolio are you most proud of?

A: I’m always the most proud of the latest job, it’s like birthing a new child, all the excitement and pride of a new creation to show the world. I do however have a great fondness for Cher's Malibu home, a project I have worked on for the last decade on and off, but it’s a very personal expression of Cher and her passions.

Q: When designing a room what is the most important factor for you?

A: When designing a room I believe comfort is the most important feature. A room needs to exude an inviting atmosphere, become a place that sparkles with personality yet feel like a sanctuary. Modern luxury is more than ever today equated as comfort and comfort means deep, soft seating, sexy dimmed lighting and warm, glowing colours that make you not only feel good but look good surrounded by them.

Q: How do you stay motivated in your work?

A: I love what I do, I feel so lucky to wake up everyday and do something I adore, make the world a more beautiful place and make people happy within their spaces. As such my motivation is my work, my clients and my passion for design. Travel is of course my greatest inspiration, and always motives my designs, from my products to my homes and those of my clients.

Q: Where is your favourite holiday destination?

A: Rome is always one of my favourite cities to vacation in, the beauty of the city, the people, the fashion, the food, the culture, the history, the fact that every corner you turn is more beautiful than the next. It is a dream city for a design lover and has inspired those of us with passion for a thousand years and will do so for a thousand more I’m sure.

Q: How would you describe your aesthetic?

A: My aesthetic is certainly eclectic. My passion for design is far reaching and as such captures so many looks, styles, periods and inspirations. I design every project exclusively for each client. No two jobs are ever the same as they are shaped to each clients personality and decorative desires. My personal style, which is always evolving, is my style. However I strive to create individual style for my clients that represents them, who they are and how they want to live.

Q: Which is the best hotel for interiors lovers?

A: The world is full of beautiful hotels that wow design lovers in so many different ways. It would be hard to pick just one or two as each in their own way offer something special. Amongst my favourites are the Hotel de Crillon in Paris, a grand hotel reimagined recently blending mid century modern furnishings with grand Belle Époque French interiors in a seamless, dreamy way.
